simsim started in Egypt, where gated communities have become a defining part of modern urban life.
Hundreds of compounds, new cities and coastal communities, home to millions of residents, gave us a front-row seat to both the promise of community living and the complexity behind running it.
Communities were investing in better homes, better amenities and better experiences. Many of the systems behind them hadn't kept up.
So we built simsim: one platform that runs a community's gates, guests, residents and services, for the people who live there and the people who keep it running.
From a guest arriving at the gate to a repair being done, every interaction should feel simple and connected.
Where we're going
Residential communities are where we started, not where we stop.
Every community that shares a physical space faces the same questions: who belongs here, who can come in, and how do people get what they need? Schools, workplaces, clubs, venues and events all answer them every day, usually with their own cards, lists and apps.
Our vision is one identity that people carry across all of them, and one platform that helps each place run, wherever people come together in person.
